All of us experience seasons in which we struggle with tangibly feeling God’s love for us. How do we handle such times that feel like an exile of sorts? Even when our heart and our head are sending us conflicting messages, “the greatest of these is (still!) love!”
Today we are celebrating the second Sunday of advent – peace. This is one of the greatest gifts that Jesus brought when he came to earth 2000 years ago. Today Catherine is going to be sharing her story – all the way from Rwanda – sharing how this prince of peace has changed and transformed her. She will also share why she has remained a part of Anchor Point!
Advent: the great anticipation of the second coming of Jesus. In the Old Testament the Jews waited for their Messiah Jesus. Today Jesus leads the church and has filled us with His Spirit. But he’s coming again, and the promise of his second coming is dependent upon his promises and faithfulness. God foretold the Saviour would come the first time – and He did. God tells us that Jesus is coming again – He will. Our hope is in the promises of God and his faithfulness.
