Darryl Friesen leads an Anchor Point Church book club, which happens a handful of times throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to sign up and join for the books they want to read, and skip the ones they don’t!

This summer we will study something slightly different, with the book club’s first work of fiction: Jane Austen’s “Pride & Prejudice. From its highly amusing plot and its riveting and diverse characters, there is so much in this book to enjoy, discuss, and learn from.

We will meet outdoors at Crescent Drive Park (weather permitting) on the following dates:

  1. Tuesday, July 15, 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Come prepared to discuss the first half of the book, chapters 1-31.
  2. Tuesday, July 29, 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Come prepared to discuss the second half of the book, chapters 32-61.

Pride & Prejudice is public domain and extremely easy to access for free if you don’t want to purchase a copy. It can be found in these places and more:
* Due to other AnchorPoint events, the summer book club will move to Tuesday evenings, with a break between the discussions to allow people to attend Family Camp. In the fall we will most likely return to our usual Monday evening meetings.
