The church was birthed when the Holy Spirit came upon the people. Their lives were changed. It would be easy to look at the end of acts 2 and put together a formula for what a church community should look like. Rather, I think it is more important to understand what internal motivators were changed as a result of being filled with the Spirit. generosity, togetherness, love, purpose – some of the marks of the Spirit.
