The leadership structure of the local church is not something that is formulaically defined or laid out in the Bible. What we do know without question is that leaders in the church are meant to be servants of the Body and actively bearing fruit for the Kingdom. Too often the Church is treated like a business—but leaders of the church are not bosses or executive officers. Rather, the different leadership groups function together to edify and shepherd the whole church family in a spirit of humility and service.
