At its heart, the Gospel is a message of love—namely, God’s overwhelming, powerful, and all-sufficient love for us. While we were still God’s enemies, His plan of sheer goodness culminated with Jesus’s death and resurrection so we could be reconciled back to the Father! It’s a love that transforms us. So why is it so easy to feel like we’re failing at loving God and others in some way? Why is it that we find ourselves forgetting or resisting God’s love for us, and neglecting to love others with His love, rather than our own limited and finite love?
