A lot happened when God himself showed up on earth. Jesus was the fulfillment of many covenants that God made with his people. Jesus didn’t just fulfill them – he also gave a new covenant. A new promise. A covenant that was foretold over and over – since the garden of Eden. We now live in the New Covenant.
