They can be called many things- a Bible study, care group, cell group, home group… At Anchor Point, we call them small groups! Small groups are an extension of our church which exist to equip believers spiritually, relationally, and practically. Joining a group is a great way to engage with our church family outside of a Sunday morning service. They are safe places to build deep community through activities and by doing life together, to share, pray, care for one another, and discuss the Bible. Our desire is to see small groups that ensure each participant is valued, known, loved, and has the opportunity to deepen their walk with God.
Groups are for people who are eager to serve God and hungry to know Him more. At our church, groups take many different forms including Bible studies, discipleship training, activity-based gatherings (like knitting or climbing), mom hangouts, wilderness adventures, and community outreach.

If you are interested in joining a specific ministry in our city, or diving into a specific topic that you don’t see on the list, you can make a group of your own! Just grab a few fellow church family members and begin living out your faith together. We’re always looking for more leaders, or those willing to host a group in their home while others lead. We are eager to provide guidance and direction to anyone wanting to start or join an AP Small Group. If that’s you, email Sarah Youngs at groups@youranchorpoint.com.
